Garden City's boys JV lacrosse team continued its winning ways with a strong showing against Farmingdale on Tuesday afternoon, April 10th at Warren King Field. After a quick Farmingdale goal that put the Dalers up 1-0, Garden City's Liam Byrnes answered with the first Trojans' goal of the day, off an assist from Connor McCullough. 28 seconds later, Liam's brother Kieran would put the Trojans up 2-1 as McCullough added his second assist of the day. The Trojans would hold a 5-1 lead by the end of the first quarter and an 8-2 halftime lead. The second half was much the same as the first. Farmingdale was not able to contain the GC offense and the Trojans defense, including Conor Byrnes, Cullen Minnion, and Pat Finneran made it next to impossible for the Dalers to take a shot. Danny Dolan, Ryan McCartney and Brian Hughes divided their time in goal for the Trojans, totaling three saves as Garden City went on to win 13-4.
Total scoring for GC included: Liam Byrnes (2 goals, 1 assist), Kieran Byrnes (3 goals, 2 assists), Connor Riedell (1 goal, 2 assists), Connor McCullough (3 goals, 2 assists), Mike Collins (1 goal, 1 assist), Ryan Blair (1 goal, 1 assist), Kyle Brattan (1 goal), Jack Lucchesi (1 goal), Dale Stasco (1 assist).
