Carle Place Defeats Garden City 2-1 in Boys Varsity Soccer

The Carle Place boy's varsity soccer team traveled to Garden City to take on the Trojans on Monday afternoon, September 24th for a non league game. Garden City got on the board first when junior Jack Gillan scored to give the Trojans a 1-0 lead in the first half. Carle Place came back in the second half and tied the game 1-1 when Adam Cabrera scored off an assist from Joe Altadonna. Cabrera would find the back of the net again, with 48 seconds left in the game, off an assist from Dylan Klein. Carle Place went on to win 2-1. Tyler Biscone was in goal for the Trojans in the first half and made five saves. Rob Walczyk took over the goalkeeping duties for the second half and made a number of saves (exact amount not available) for the Trojans. In goal for Carle Place was John Guzzo, who made four saves Garden City's overall record in Conference A-1 is 1-2-3, the team's conference record is 1-1-0. Carle Place sits on the top of Conference BC with an overall record of 4-2-1 and a conference record of 3-0. The Trojans will travel to Westbury High School for a conference game on Thursday September 27th at 4:30pm. Carle Place will travel to Locust Valley to take on Friends Academy in a conference game on Friday September 28th at 4:30pm
