Conor Muldoon scores four goals, including game winner, as Garden City Trojans defeat Long Beach in boys lacrosse

The Garden City Trojans boys varsity lacrosse team took on the Long Beach Marines on their home turf at Warren King Field on Tuesday afternoon April 28th. While the game stayed close in the first half, with the Trojans holding a 4-2 lead, the third quarter took a different turn and saw the Trojans score three unanswered goals leading to a 7-3 third quarter lead. The Marines, not a team to go down without a fight, scored four fourth quarter goals to tie the game with less than a minute left. With 33 seconds left in the game, GC senior Conor Muldoon scored his fourth goal of the game off a feed from Liam Byrnes to break the 7-7 tie and lead Garden City (6-0) to the 8-7 victory in Conference B-I. GC's Kieran Gunn held his own at the face-off X, going 16-for-20.
