For their 54th consecutive win, the No. 3 nationally ranked Garden City Trojans girls lacrosse team defeated the Darien, Ct, Blue Wave 18-7 on Monday afternoon, April 16th. The Blue Wave are ranked 20th in the country but they were hard pressed to stop a Trojan attack that scored three goals in the first 1:24 of the game. GC took a commanding 12-3 halftime lead as Alexandra Bruno and Jenna Fuchs would go on to score seven goals each in the victory. The Trojans defense, including Linda Attanasio, Lily Schmitt and Charlotte Castronovo, accounted for many failed scoring attempts by the Blue Wave and caused a number of loose balls that were picked up by GC.
