12 Different Players Score as Garden City Boys JV Lax Defeats Great Neck South 17-0

12 different players scored goals for the Garden City boys JV lax team on a day when the Trojans defense didn't let up a goal. It happened on Wednesday afternoon, April 18th during a home game against Great Neck South. Connor Muldoon opened the scoring with a goal just 2:15 into the game, off an assist from Gerard Smith. 14 seconds later Colin DeAngelo gave GC a 2-0 lead on an unassisted goal. Chris Repetti and Jack Lucchesi followed with goals of their own (Lucchesi's off an assist from Patrick Gibbons) to give the Trojans a 4-0 first quarter lead.
As many players were rotated in and out, the Trojans took a commanding 9-0 halftime lead and went on to win the game 17-0. Goalkeepers Brian Hughes, Peter Luglio and Ryan McCartney, along with a strong defense including Tim Halaby, Cullen Minnion, Matt Greene, Liam Sugrue, Lucas Hildreth and Brian Goepfert made for an impenetrable wall that Great Neck could not break through.
Sophomore's Brett Stewart and Dale Stasco, along with freshmen Patrick Slovensky and Gerard Smith, had no problems at the faceoff X and won the majority of faceoffs. Middies Chris Connolly and Mike Collins, with their consistent play, contributed at both ends of the field.
